Viewing imported photos

I purchased a card reader for my iphone 6s so I can import photos from my game cam to my phone and view them without having to leave the woods or take my computer into the woods. When i import the photos, the import shows the full image but when I open the pic it cuts off the sides. In order to see the full pic I have to open it in edit mode.

How do I make it open the full picture instead of having to open the edit option?
